The BAU Cyprus Banking and Finance degree programme is an interdisciplinary academic programme that enables students to learn about international financial markets and the banking sector from a practical perspective, and aims to equip students with the skills to analyze and develop solutions to real and complex financial problems faced by banks and financial institutions.
The programme covers topics such as the functioning of the banking system, the role of central banks, monetary policy tools, financial instruments, and the fundamental concepts used in the markets; additionally, it provides insights into current subfields such as risk management, derivatives, FinTech, and portfolio management.
Conducted in English, the programme helps students gain the ability to analyze economic situations critically and develop solutions by understanding financial markets, financial intermediaries, and banking functions.
Graduates have the opportunity to work as experts in the financial decision-making processes in private banks, financial institutions, consulting firms, international organizations, and the public sector.
