Computer Engineering
Computer Engineering
Computer Engineering Bachelor's Programme aims to train well-prepared engineers in the field of information and communication technologies, equipped with mathematics, science, and engineering knowledge, who are confident in themselves. Students participating in the programme gain skills in analytical thinking, problem-solving, coding, system design, leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Additionally, students develop the ability to solve hardware, software, and network problems using innovative and up-to-date theoretical-technological knowledge.
In the first year of the educational programme, students are introduced to the profession of computer engineering, and a solid foundation is established with basic courses in Mathematics, Physics, English, problem-solving, and programming. In the following years, core engineering courses such as Data Structures and Object-Oriented Programming, Digital Systems and Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, and Computer Networks are provided. After the third year, students observe a real working environment by doing a summer internship and gain experience under the supervision of a computer engineer. In the final year, current technical elective courses are offered; also, through the graduation project, students get the chance to apply their knowledge and skills in a real project and develop their social skills such as report writing, presentation, research, teamwork, and leadership. Additionally, as part of the programme, students are also required to complete 40 days of summer internship.
Graduates of the programme have the opportunity to work in various sectors, primarily in IT companies, as well as in banking, finance, health, defence, and tourism, both nationally and internationally. Graduates can also pursue careers in areas such as Computer Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Chip Design, Image Processing, Game Programming, and Mobile Application Development; they may even rise to managerial positions or take on entrepreneurial roles developing innovative technologies in the IT sector.
