The BAU Cyprus Civil Engineering programme offers students a comprehensive education in structural systems, construction technologies and engineering design and aims to equip them with analytical thinking, problem-solving and project management skills. Throughout the programme, students receive courses aimed at understanding original construction practices such as reinforced concrete, steel structures, soil mechanics, hydraulics, and building materials, alongside fundamental engineering sciences. The curriculum focuses on developing design, analysis, and field application skills by using theoretical knowledge and modern engineering software. Students also gain real-world experience through laboratory work, project-based applications and professional internships, thus becoming professionally competent to take roles in infrastructure projects and the construction industry upon graduation. The capstone project carried out at the end of the programme offers students the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have learned in a holistic way.
Graduates have the opportunity to work as a civil engineer in construction companies, consultancy firms, public institutions, and infrastructure projects, and can shape their careers in areas such as developing design, supervision, planning, and sustainable building solutions.
