Political Science and International Relations
BAU Cyprus Political Science and International Relations undergraduate program aims to provide students with the ability to comprehensively examine and analyze global politics, international systems, and inter-state relationships. The program enables students to gain in-depth knowledge in areas such as political theory, public policy, comparative politics, international law, diplomacy, and regional studies. In this program, which is taught in English, students develop their critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills while also having the opportunity to question the behaviors of global actors and international processes.
The curriculum addresses topics such as the policies of modern states, the role of international organizations, global security, human rights, and economic diplomacy by equipping students with both theoretical foundations and practical examples. In the later years of the program, students have the chance to apply the concepts they have learned in real-world contexts through seminars, case analyses, and project-based courses. Additionally, students expand their international perspectives by interacting with different cultures and international settings.
Graduates are equipped to take on analytical and professional roles in various sectors such as public institutions, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, diplomacy, media, and consulting; they also gain a strong foundation for further academic education.
